Debenhams set to open

Wednesday 23rd September 2009, 10:49AM BST.

Debenhams will open its new store on Kidderminster’s Weavers Wharf shopping complex tomorrow.

It has been developed in the historic grade II listed former carpet mill known as Slingfield Mill and has created 59 jobs.

Theresa Furnish, who has worked for Debenhams for 12 years, will manage the new shop.

The store will share the five-storey building with an upmarket hotel, the name of which has still to be released. The cost of conversion of the store has been around £500,000.
