The video to Bonnie Tyler’s 80s power ballad classic Total Eclipse of the Heart is given a hilarious reworking by US comedians.

The original lyrics to the Welsh star’s hit are replaced with lines literally describing the action in the promotional video.

It parodies the baffling images of the 1983 video, including angelic choirboys with demonic eyes.

“It started out as Hogwards now it’s Lord of the Flies,” sings “Bonnie” in this version.

The new version has proved an internet hit with more than 4m views so far.
