Scrabble fanatics from all over the UK have been in Staffordshire for the annual British Matchplay championships.
The three-day event was played at Yarnfield Park Conference Centre, near Stone.
More than 200 players, including 10 World Championship players, took part in the tournament which offered a £3,000 prize fund.
The championship is the flagship event of the Association of British Scrabble Players and is the largest Scrabble competition in the country.
