rotherham4Albion striker Craig Beattie has ended his Hawthorns career to join Championship rvials Swansea in a £800,000 deal.

Beattie said his farewells to his Baggies team-mates yesterday, with the Swans breaking their £400,000 transfer record to land the 25-year-old.

The 25-year-old joined Albion for £1.25million from Celtic two years ago but never really settled at the club, only making 41 appearances for the club since July 2007, scoring eight goals.

He was farmed out on loan to Preston, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United throughout his time at the Hawthorns.
