Entertaining young people from Cannock will have stars in their eyes when they take part in a concert organised by a summer music school.
The group of 10 talented aspiring singers will strut their stuff on stage, after receiving vocal coaching and learning stage skills at a course held at the town’s Greenwood Studios.
They will perform hits made famous by the likes of Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Little Eva, Sonny and Cher, Wham and Culture Club at the Pop Through the Decades course.
Ann-Marie Keenan, of Greenwood Studios, said: “They have been learning the songs which they have been working on in a group setting. We have been showing them how to put the costumes together for the performance.
“The week will culminate in a show tonight when they will put on a performance.
“We ran two other summer courses dealing with how to create a band and held a rock school, which attracted a higher number of boys who were keen guitarists and drummers.”
The music centre, in Birch Business Park, Bridgtown, also specialises in media courses including photography and film.
Up and coming sessions at the media hub will include the re-opening of the regular rock school by popular demand. It will be held on Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm.
Those interested should just visit the studio for more details, but no booking is necessary.
