Search for life-saver nurse
Tuesday 25th August 2009, 5:50PM BST.
The family of a Cannock teenager want to find an off-duty nurse who saved her life after an horrific cycling accident.
One of 16-year-old Jade Amison’s legs was impaled on the handlebars of her bike in the incident a week ago in Pye Green Road, Chadsmoor.
The family want to personally thank the nurse who stemmed the bleeding until paramedics arrived. Jade, who lives in Pye Green Road, underwent emergency surgery to repair the main artery that was almost severed and save her leg from amputation.
She is now recuperating from her ordeal at home.
