wd3402703wanted1A cash reward has been offered to try and trace a man wanted by police in connection with a vicious assault in Stafford.

Police have been trying to find Daniel Faulkner after he failed to answer to his bail conditions earlier this year.

Police have been investigating a serious violent assault at a house in Riverside Mews, Stafford in May this year.

The 37-year-old victim of the assault suffered cuts to his face as well as a broken tooth.

Now crime charity Crimestoppers is offering a £500 reward to help trace Faulkner, who was arrested following the assault.

Faulkner, aged 26, was questioned at Rugeley police station and released on police bail pending further inquiries until May 29. He failed to answer his bail and has been missing ever since.

Police say anyone who recognises him should not approach him but contact police immediately.

Anyone who knows where Faulkner may be hiding should also contact the authorities as soon as possible.

Crimestoppers have put up the £500 cash reward for information that leads to the 26-year-old’s arrest.

Detective Sergeant Jim Callaghan, of Chase CID, said: “We hope the Crimestoppers reward will encourage people who know where Daniel Faulkner may be, or have had contact with him, to come forward.

“They can ring Crimestoppers anonymously – even if they claim the reward they do not have to reveal their identity.

“Anyone who comes across Mr Faulkner should not approach him, but contact police.”

Faulkner lived in Higher Ash Road, in Stoke-on-Trent, but regularly stayed at his girlfriend’s home in Stafford prior to the assault.

Anybody with information about his whereabouts can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Chase CID can also be contacted on 01785 234205.
