Baby P – this cash-cow is sickening
Wednesday 12th August 2009, 9:43AM BST.
Poor Baby P, no-one gave a flying fig about him when he was alive but now he’s been turned into a lucrative cash-cow. It’s disgusting, writes Charlie Cashdan.
The Government are planning on spending millions to protect Baby P’s mother, her Nazi-admiring boyfriend and his brother when they come out of jail.
So I suppose this means they will be housed, fed and clothed for the rest of their lives despite torturing, and allowing the torture of, an innocent little boy until he died of horrific, sickening injuries.
You bet the public are angry! But, there is a simple solution. Just jail all three of them for life. It’s probably cheaper that way and no less than they deserve.
It’s funny how the powers that be are so concerned about protecting the perpetrators but did nothing to protect the poor innocent child.
To make matters worse, Baby P’s father is now going to sue social services for neglect, but where the hell was he while all this was going on! He’s certainly appeared now that there’s money to be had.
Six staff are also suing Haringey Council for compensation after being dismissed over their catastrophic failures and stand to win £1.4 million between them if successful.
I can’t believe how people are set to profit from what happened, all out of the public purse too. Wouldn’t that money be better spent trying to ensure that something like this never, ever, happens again?

I continue to feel completely ill as this story unfolds. The nation is overwhelmed with grief at the torture this boy received, and now the justice system want to protect the abusers. To make it worse, the people that Peter should have been able to rely on are now seeking compensation. For what? They failed this poor boy yet can only think of themselves. Something seriously wrong with our justice system and the revolting lawyers who assist people like Sharon Shoesmith.

Poor little baby Peter. There is something wrong with our system when it protects the monsters who commit these atrocities more than we protect the poor little innocent victims. These 3 should rot in hell. They should be kept in prison for the rest of their lives and even that is too good for them for what they did to that beautiful little boy. It’s about time we made an example of these people. Hang them all.

Agree with Pamela. Why the hell should the tax payer fund to keep these animals in a life of anonimity when they are finally released?

The three idiots who hurt that poor, innocent baby will burn in hell. Why are they going to be protected by the government but yet no one would protect baby peter? What the hell is wrong with the world! Whats with the stupid social workers and doctors! They totally ignored all of the obvious signs of neglect and abuse! And i can’t believe the doctors ‘missed’ the broken back and ribs! I mean, come one! Thats ridiculous. If a dumb cat or dog was in that situation, they would serve a hell of a lot more years in prison. They do more to protect animals! This story outrages me. I’m disgusted and very sad.

We should have the death penalty in this country.
