Walsall new signing Jamie Vincent believes leading from the back will be key to the Saddlers’ success this season.
The left-back, who signed last week, is a certain starter in Saturday’s League One opener at Brighton.
And the 34-year-old defender believes the leadership of skipper Mark Hughes and club captain Rhys Weston is vital.
He said: “It’s not just me or Hughesy, who has the armband, all the lads who go out there have to lead, and lead by example – especially to the younger players.”
