Too right mate. Without Doyle and Kiteley we really need more up front and at the back i fear. The team need to start with confidence and it certainly isn’t there at the moment. Time to pick the best side and formation now to get us through the first few matches.

Loads of wood from the B&Q sale to board up the goal , fear the worst with our defence , McCarthy has simply ignored all our frailties and the sighnings made won’t make a scrap of difference , Berra is simply not up to the task and our only saviour would be mancienne , will it happen. ?

This season the premier league will be the most interesting for years. The race for title will be hot with utd losing ronaldo and tevez and the relegation battle battle will consist of Burnley, Blues, Stoke, Hull, Wolves, Pompey, Wigan. Any 3 of those could go.

As a Wolves fan I am very pleased with the business so far. I do not read too much into pre-season games and never will. I do not believe our business is yet complete and I would like to see Joe Ledley, Michael Mancienne and Marvin Elliott brought in. I do not want players with no desire such as albion signed last season, we want players looking up rather than down. On loan we could possibly get Aaron Ramsay and Macheda from Man Utd or Marlon King.

We as supporters have to get behind these young players and I am very confident we can stay up. Personally I think Hull, Pompey and Burnley will go down and Albion will stay down and let the midlands down with us, blues and villa flying the flag for the midlands.

We need a solid D. We need Mancienne. What happened to getting him? It was too bad we missed out on Knight. Without a more experienced defence, no matter how many Wolves score, we will concede more. I know Wolves have tried harder this time, but they still have not invested in enough quality. That’s what Ince is trying to (politely) say too.

The problem as I see it is that MM doesnt know how some of his better players eg Ebanks Blake ,Keightly ,Foley etc are going to cope with the premiership and he wont know until its possibly too late.I have to admit I never thought MM would get us promoted so I got that totally wrong.I have to say though I am really worried about our defence and we have not spent enough money on quality players.I just hope the three teams I think will get relegated(Hull Burnley and Blues) are worse than us

Our defence is a big worry for sure , could only pinpoint Foley as a real positive in terms of defence , possibly Stearman if he can match his potential but may need more time .
Was our major weakness last prem campaign with Butler & Craddock ( who was out of his depth 5 years ago ! ) at the back .
Other than Stearman & Foley , does anyone else feel comfortable with the remaining defenders we have on our books at Prem level ? .

Come on Super Mick, go get Mancienne. What about a punt on Man city striker bojinov.

I fear that we are too young and naive going into the Prem.
Can’t see anybody in our squad who will be constantly talking to the ref’s and swaying there decisions in our favour. We will also get caught out in the last 10 mins when our experienced rivals will be using all there gamesmanship to get a result. Huff and puff alone just wont be enough.

I think we are still in need of 2 or 3 players, in my opinion, we need a forward on loan, as Doyle and Iwelumo will be back, so a loan till Christmas will do well. Carlos Vela from Arsenal would be great, skillful player who knows where the net is albeit in cup competitions, but for Mexico he scores a few too.

A battling CM, which I can’t see Mick getting because he loves Karl Henry. Blues have Ferguson and Carsley, exactly what we need that type of character. The only reason we have gone for an experienced player because we won’t pay the wages. Someone like Murphy would of lead the team well.

I don’t think we need Mancienne, did poor in the U21 Championships, and we have a good mixture, Zubar is quick and power and big, so hes better than Mancienne in my opinion, both unproven in the Premiership but Zubar has Champions League experience not just coming on as a sub. So I can see the Centre Back partnership being Zubar and Craddock/Berra!

    Up the Wolves!
    Have Faith.

Will someone please ask Moxey what he meant by ” we won’t do an Albion”?
I assumed he meant Albion investment of £20 million in new players wasn’t enough.
We have invested approx £15 million.
    So what is he saying?
He should have been an MP.

Still a million miles away from a mid table team morgan says he’s after. Quality??? where? if a players worth us having he’s already signed for another prem team. It’s very hard to advance from a good championship team.

We need at least four signings in my view. Davenport, Hunt, Brown and Kamara please McCarthy. These players will at least give us a chance of staying up. At the moment Halford and Surman are squad players at best. Doyle and Miljas seem good signings . Zubar is a player that I feel will struggle unless we get a quality centre back in to play with him.

I have to agree with most you lads, we need to buy at lease two or three with abit of quality. We need A centre back a Specialised Holding Midfielder with some bite, not like Henry and Jones, those two were proberly the worst midfield pair in the Champianship so in the prem they will get overrun the Serb looks good but needs another quality player with him , we also need a striker who can do a job, and not a keogh who runs and thats about it.
I can see it now, after the WH game MM coming out saying I couldnt get this player or this player, before we know it its back to the Coca Cola.
bring in Mancienne (Loan),Benjani (loan) for a start

I am concerned that we havent done anywhere near enough to give ourselves a good chance of a decent start. The few injury niggles that have hit us have left us bare in my opinion. Definitely need a few more defenders – and quality ones at that – and reinforcement up front is vital. Happy with midfield possibilities – but really concerned about how we are going to handle red hot strikers in the prem.

Too much negativity here….. whoever we buy (with the exception of messrs ronaldo, kaka, ribery, buffon, terry, carrick etc.) we are going to be in the bottom half of the table come the business end of the season so why dont some of you just accept it will be a struggle and hope we finish 4th from bottom next year, THEN consolidate and push on….just be realistic some of you and look forward to being in the prem…Yes????

OK this is my first comment, and am somewhat new to this as not many Wolves games are on in the USA so be gentle. I saw Wolves at Molineaux when they beat Watford (great game). Have been a Wolves fan all my life (43 years) and have an uncle who played for Wolves (Barry Stobart). I would’ve thought nicking some players from Newcastle on the cheap may have been a good idea especially Martins though I hear he is gone to Germany.

I went to the Doncaster game today and we were pretty terrible for the first 60 minutes or so with some exceptions: Milijas is a class act, Surman looked good when he came on, Berra and Craddock worked well together, Jarvo looked really good and Foley was his usual quality self. However, Ward was downright awful! He continually got turned by the Doncaster players and almost every threat came from the left (i.e. his side). Once george Elokobi came on everything changed and the whole defence was much more secure and this freed up the nidfield to start and work together better. God help us if MM insists on picking Ward when the season starts!!
