Stars from television’s Britain’s Got Talent have been singing from the rooftop of Birmingham Children’s Hospital to celebrate the opening of a new facility for families with sick children.
Good Evans, made up of 13-year-old Elliot Evans, his two sisters and parents, joined Ronald McDonald House Charities to perform.
The new Ronald McDonald House will provide free accommodation for families of children being treated at the hospital, and at yesterday’s event the new roof was put in place.
The 60-bedroom accommodation will enable up to 240 relatives to stay at any one time and be close to children in hospital.
Police officers who have also been supporting the new facility, including Insp Ed Foster, were also at yesterday’s event.
Performer Elliot has spent much of his young life being treated at the hospital in Steelhouse Lane for Hirschprungs Disease, which has meant freequent journeys from his home in Coventry.
