Car search on in taxi driver murder

Police hunting the killer of Birmingham taxi driver Mohammed Arshad are looking for the driver of a red coupe car seen in the area at the time he was discovered.

Father-of-three Mr Arshad was found by a member of the public at 8.50pm on Wednesday in Wast Hills Lane, Kings Norton.

Det Chief Insp Lee Davenport said: “We know a red coupe car was seen in Wast Hills Lane, Kings Norton, between 8.40pm and 8.50pm on Wednesday night.

“We need to speak to the driver of this vehicle as they could have important information for the inquiry.

“We would urge them to come forward as soon as possible, so we can determine if they saw anything which we may find useful.”
