We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest gossip.
We are not saying they’re true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Wolves are reportedly interested in Hull City’s midfielder Dean Marney, although they face competition with Fulham for the ex-Spurs player.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is in no rush to make a decision over trialist Bobo Balde, who has been training with the Premier League newcomers recently.
ALBION
Roberto Di Matteo is apparently ready to make a shock move for Rotherham United’s highly-rated striker Reuben Reid. An even bigger shock would be the return from Fulham of Diomansy Kamara, who could reportedly be part of any deal to send skipper Jonathan Greening the other way.
VILLA
As always, Villa are linked with a raft of players as the papers link them with all manner of signings. So Leeds have told suitors for Fabian Delph, including reportedly Villa, that it will take “ridiculous money” for the youngster to leave the League One side.
Villa and Sunderland are said to be battling for Portsmouth’s Sylvain Distin.
Standard Liege striker Milan Jovanovic is said to be on the radar for Everton, Sunderland and VIlla.
While Villa are also said to be after Darren Bent, who is rated at £18m by Spurs but may be neared to the exit door if ex-Villa striker Peter Crouch heads up Bill Nicholson Way to White Hart Lane.
BLUES
Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has hinted that there could be even more new arrivals at St Andrew’s, with Aston Villa’s Craig Gardner, a midfielder from Spain and a possible loan move for Arsenal’s Armand Traore all among the rumoured plans.
WALSALL
