Albion ace is losing battle

Albion midfielder James Morrison looks set to lose his fitness battle to figure at the start of the Championship season.
The Baggies star seems likely to be short of fitness when the club kick of the new campaign against Newcastle, despite planning a return to training this week.
Morrison has been sidelined all summer with the heel injury that forced him to miss the end of last season and was forced into fresh surgery late last month.
He is hoping to be back on the training ground this week, but head coach Roberto Di Matteo says the 23-year-old is facing a frustrating game of ‘catch-up’ after missing almost a month of pre-season training and matches.
“Hopefully James can start his pre-season this week,” said Di Matteo.
“It’s very frustrating for a player. You want to start the new season from day one of pre-season and get a full pre-season under your belt. That’s very important for the whole year so he is very frustrated and disappointed that he hasn’t been able to participate from the start.”
Albion kick-off with a televised meeting with Newcastle at The Hawthorns and Di Matteo fears the August 8 clash could come too soon for Morrison.

Good to have him back but I bet if we are not in a good position at xmas a trnasfer request will be in. The youngsters done well to get a draw at Kiddy it is about time we had a few come through the system but we were dire at Walsall. I realise it is only pre-season but we simply have individuals who are not good enough. Cech and Greening both looked un-interested and Luke Moore walks around with his usual limp. With Cech unsure of his future and Greenings mind obviously being elsewhere, where does the quality come from to get us promoted? I am a little concerned.

I think the quality will come from Dorrans, Koren and by the way he played saturday afternoon tex.
Good to see Moore scoring, i think if we can keep his head and his confidence up this season i think he’ll surprise a few sceptics. Thats a big if though.

i think we will be ok next season,
but what are albion playing at rejecting 4 million for greening! i would snap their hands off for that! we could buy 2 decent players with it, plus we alredi have dorrans, koren, valero, mulumbu, kim. And for morrison i wish him all the best and im sure he will be a big hit for us next season.
I also have a good feeling for players like tex, carson and cech

I don’t normally waste my time commenting on what Shadrag has to say but couldn’t resist this one. He’s obviously not the sharpest tool in the box if he can forget to change his name and then come up with some lame excuse that it wasn’t him!!

You lot are really rotton, having a go at Shadrag just because he forgot to change his user name in a puerile, pathetic attempt to pretend to be a Baggie. Don’t forget he’s got a lot on his mind at the moment, trying to rescue the World’s financial markets, those Euro Lottery tickets don’t buy themselves you know, he has to fill them in and remember to put his own name on them. If you’re not careful you will drive him away, after all he doesn’t need to come on here to get abuse, he can stay on the Wulfies site for that.

I would welcome Kamara back…. a season mainly sitting on the bench at Fulham may have done is attitude some good and he may realise that he aint the greatest player ever…
If he did return and felt he had something to prove he would be a great assett – but I can’t see him coming – or us affording his wages.
How about Koumas to replace Jonno ???
