Two men, aged 48 and 26, have been arrested and were being quizzed by police today.
Noose Lane, a busy cut through close to the Wolverhampton border, was sealed off between Noose Crescent and Aston Road while forensic teams searched the scene.
Motorists were forced to find alternative routes on to nearby Willenhall Road with many having to turn around in Noose Crescent to avoid the disruption.
Detective Inspector Gary Plant from Bloxwich CID said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was passing by, or in the area last night who may have information to assist our inquiry. Noose Lane is a busy cut-through and we believe there may have been passing motorists who saw this disorder take place.”
