Porn accused wife found guilty
Friday 17th July 2009, 4:07PM BST.
A teaching assistant has been found guilty of helping her husband to secretly film young girls at their home.
A jury of eight women and four men took around five hours to return their verdict on Rosemary Foxall.
They believed the prosecution’s case she played an “active part” in her husband’s ploy, convicting her of 10 counts of making indecent photographs of children and possessing 147 indecent images.
The 49-year-old, from Sadler Road, Brownhills, ran shallow baths for the youngsters while her husband Martin, who has since committed suicide, filmed them using cameras hidden in the loft and bedroom of their house.
Foxall was remanded in custody, to be sentenced at a later date.
The jury had been told to put emotions aside in reaching a verdict.
The two-week trial heard how firefighters stumbled across two camcorders and a series of images when they were investigating a blaze at the couple’s home last July.
The Foxalls were arrested and questioned by police. Martin Foxall, 50, committed suicide five days later.
Girls appearing as witnesses during the trial told how Rose would encourage them to get in the pool and have a bath afterwards.
Foxall sobbed in court, claiming her husband was controlling and that she’d had no idea what he was up to.
