Surman eyes Lallana reunion at Wolves

Wednesday 15th July 2009, 10:01AM BST.

Wolves midfielder Andrew Surman has issued a ‘come and join me’ plea to former Southampton team-mate Adam Lallana.

Saints have rejected a £500,000 bid from Wolves for attacking midfielder Lallana, who they want to re-unite with recent signing Surman.

The club are now weighing up an improved offer for the 21-year-old.

Surman believes it would be an excellent move for Lallana, who is thought to be tempted at the prospect of swapping League One for the Premier League.

The Wolves midfielder said: “It’s been a great move for me – it’s a massive Premier League club with a huge fanbase and the players are very down to earth and very welcoming, so it’s very easy to fit in.

“He’s a very good player and has a lot of promise, because he’s still so young.”
