Memorial lights cash

A war memorial at St Mary’s Church in Kidderminster is to be lit up at night, thanks to funding from Wyre Forest council.
Plans to put up two new flag poles have also been agreed, with approval for the allocation of £2,000 to the Kidderminster War Memorial Trust. The windfall will mean ongoing projects such as the creation of a book of remembrance, can be completed.
Councillors have also agreed to £1,000 being earmarked for both Bewdley and Stourport War Memorials.
