The Saturdays in top form at Civic
Monday 22nd June 2009, 11:30AM BST.
Sassy girl group The Saturdays were on sparkling form at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall on their first headline tour.
The girls, Una Healy, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman, looked at home on stage and were interacting with their mainly teenage fan base. The electro pop group, who burst onto the music scene in 2008, treated the audience to hits from their debut album and cover versions of popular chart toppers.

They got the near sell-out crowd going with If This Is Love, Why Me Why Now and brought the mood down with Fall, all from their 2008 album Chasing Lights.
They also belted out an energetic melody of Madcon’s Beggin, Pink’s So What and I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry, which got everyone singing and dancing.
The girls looked a little bit awkward with some of the dance moves but their undoubted vocal talents, however, could not be faulted. And Una and Mollie even played the guitar.
