Monday 22nd June 2009, 8:46PM BST.

22troutAmerican  guitarist Walter Trout heads for the Robin 2 in Bilston, Wolverhampton,  this October, celebrating 20 years of hard-driving blues and a  new compilation CD featuring rare and previously unreleased performances.

New Jersey-born Trout will appear at the Robin 2 on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, as part of an extensive 20-date UK tour.

Tickets, which cost £15 in advance and £16 on the door, are on sale now.

The tour is to promote Trout’s latest CD, Unspoiled By Progress, on Provogue Records, a collection of previously unrealeased tracks and three new songs.

The material has been drawn from throughout Trout’s 20-year career, including a BBC session from 1991, a 1989 jam at the Perq’s nightclub in Huntington Beach featuring Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward and a live recording of Sweet As A Flower featuring the last ever performance by bassist Jimmy Trapp in 2005.

The new songs are They Call Us The Working Class, Two Sides to Every Story and So Afraid Of The Darkness.
