SOCCER Celtic 3Tony Mowbray bid goodbye to Albion to take over as manager of Celtic by insisting his conscience was clear over turning his back on the club.

The former Baggies boss blamed “strained relations” behind the scenes at the Hawthorns for his departure, as he was unveiled at Parkhead.

Although he did not refer specifically to anyone by name, his comments will be interpreted by Albion fans as a thinly-veiled attack on chairman Jeremy Peace.

Mowbray has now been paraded as the Bhoys’ new boss and is adamant he has no regrets over walking out of the Hawthorns just a month after telling his players they “owed” the club another season after relegation.

He said: “Without getting too deeply into it, relationships are very important in the hierarchy of football clubs and there were one or two problems at Albion as the season went on.

“I’ve got to enjoy going into work every day. What keeps me getting up and driving into work is enjoying the environment I work in and that had become a little bit strained.

“This opportunity is something I have taken on with a very clear conscience.

“My words in the West Midlands were designed for the players and making sure we all stayed together for the new division.

“I don’t think that rings true for me. The players’ relationship with their manager was very strong, but other relationships at the club weren’t as strong and ultimately I felt the time was right to move on.”

Mowbray officially departed Albion last night with the Old Firm giants announcing him as their new boss, three weeks after the departure of Gordon Strachan.

But his exit has upset some fans, who have questioned his loyalty after he walked away just weeks after demanding his players honour their contracts next season.

The former manager added: “I think loyalty was a very important factor for the players I signed. But when you talk about the management of a football club it comes down to relationships.

“I talked about the players showing loyalty because I didn’t feel they had a reason to ‘up and out,’ because there was a very strong bond that the coaching staff and players had.”

    Remember this statement Mr Mowbray

“”The bottom line is it isn’t just the manager who has taken the team down, it isn’t just the players who have taken the team down. If we go down, we are all hopefully going to gain from the experience.”
He added: “It is a lot more complicated in that modern day footballers are all governed by their advisors as well and what they think is best for them, and what becomes paramount is your relationship with the players really.
“My discussion point with most of them would be if there are players I want to keep, and we get bids for them, they owe the football club, they owe the fans and their team-mates another crack at it.
“Let’s all try to get back to the Premier League because if we do that, I think we will be so much better for it.
“We will have had the experience of this season and that is a pretty strong, powerful message. They should have a responsibility to feel that.
“I don’t want to ram that home. It comes from within. You have either got that or you haven’t. You’ve got to look deep into these players and see what drives and motivates them.””

I must admit to being a little disappointed by TM’s lack of acknowledgment of our supporters.

I can understand his silence over the last 2 weeks to some degree, so as not to burn his bridges, and I know he’s not the sycophantic type, but still…….he received an untold amount of support, loyalty and warmth from our supporters during his whole stay, not just the last 2 months and not even so much as an explanation, an express of best wishes or a mention of any sort since his departure. Perhaps I’m being naive by hoping for one.

Well good luck Tony, I hope Celtic fans are ready to ship a few goals this year, maybe we can sign a couple of defenders off them seen as Mowbray doesn’t like playing decent ones. Curbs or Ferguson have to be first choice. If not Coppell or Gary Johnson wouldn’t be bad appointments. If we end up with Shearer we won’t go up, Dave Jones and we’ll go up but we’ll come back yet again – only Curbishley can stop the perpetual sequence we’re in by playing balanced football and over achieving. We need to defend this time as well as attack and Curbs has that balanced style not to mention a raft of contacts and experience.

I listened VERY carefully to his statement at his Celtic inauguration. Did I detect in there that he was ‘considering his future’ BEFORE the Celtic post came up? If so, what were the reasons behind that in view of the colossal support from the fans? Still not one word to us either. My own view is that he was ‘tapped up’ several weeks before and the show of support therefore was an embarrassment to him in the final analysis. He has signed a ONE YEAR ROLLING CONTRACT. I personally don’t feel that’s much of a vote of confidence. Deliver or go seems to be the message there. The truth will no doubt leak out eventually.

He has the opportunity to manage a club who he was captain of and where he is loved by the supporters.
Put yourself in his shoes for just one minute, instead of coming out with the usual “albion bias” rubbish that 99% of our fans come out with !
It was a job he couldn’t turn down, no matter how poor Scottish football is.

Now that the dust has settled I like to wish Mowbray, Venus & Grant the best of luck in making Celtic great again. I feel the man has handled the situation with alot of respect and integrity not once has he requested this move but when the opportunity (i.e the compo was settled) came up he wanted to talk, if anyone listens to Mowbray about his Celtic days there was no way he would this this opportunity. we all knew deep down he would be off we just thought it was going to be Boro which shows he has loyalty to his heart. He hasn’t thrown his toys out the pram and i believe had they not seen eye to eye he would have happily stayed without no moaning. So now its a new chapter we have a decent squad on long contracts and prospect of having an excited young manager there are some good times to be had.Lets give him the best support possible like we did with TM without the high expectations. At the end of the day the chairman as usual has done right by the club and TM has done what he feels is right and if we read between the lines he said ‘the players must show loyalty’ and thats true not him as he didn’t play 38 games and got relegated. He prepared them for every game in the right manner as well played well 9 times out of 10 it was individual mistakes that cost us something he cannot account for, only the players. Come on you baggies!!!

WBA are a decent club, i have a degree of respect for Albion, but when a huge club in the form ofCeltic come along did you realistically expect him to turn us down?

He’s an ex-Celt and received unerring support from Celtic fans when he suffered personal tragedy and i’m sure it’s a dream for him to return to Parkhead.

    I listened carefully as well.
I am not sure whether he was tapped up.
I am pretty sure he became disillusioned with a future at WBA which included cutting players and limited trsnsfer funds and working with JP.
    Chalk and cheese!!
In many ways I don’t blame him for going to a club with 60000 home support, European football and trsnsfer funds and an easy run of games in the SPL.
As fans, I think the Mowbray years have served as an antidote to the dire offerings from Megson and Robson.
I feel that the football world liked our style of football but laughed at the fact that we seemed happy to lose games.
Celtic fans posts want winning football and won’t settle for less.
It’s time for us to toughen up and demand the same from our team, new manager and Board.
I am getting a bit fed up of patronising attitude to our club.
Nice little family club. Well run but getting nowhere!!

I hope that the Celtic fans like your style of 4-5-1 football, I hope they enjoy your stubborness when you refuse to change what everyone else can see is not working, I also hope they tolerate your poor excuses when Celtic hopefully lose against Rangers, and when Celtic don’t make it through the group stages of next years Champions League, I also hope they like to watch Borja Valero and other of your poor signings that you will make do nothing game in game out , enjoy the Mickey Mouse league Mr Mowbray, a one year rolling contract isn’t exactly showing true “Celtic family” faith now is it! Like so many baggies fans, I thoroughly enjoyed TM’s time at the shrine, not least because I thought the he brought real dignity and the retunr of a code of conduct which has almost entirely vanished from football. I was especially pleased with his comments after relegation and in particular when he said: they owe the football club, they owe the fans and their team-mates another crack at it.
Now we all know that this meant nothing! When the chance came he took it, sheer hypocrisy.
OK Celtic hold a special place in his heart he says because of the fans, we heard the same sort of comments on countless occasion about our fans yet when push came to shove TM showed us his true colours. So some advice for TM don’t get on your soap box and start talking about obligations and codes of behaviour just before you demonstrate the exact opposite on your way out of the door.
I don’t think I can remember anyone else, other than Ardiles, throwing such affection and support straight back in the faces of fans. I’m afraid that he can’t really expect to leave the Baggies on a tide of goodwill after acting in such a manner. Even taking JP into account it’s clear that what was right for TM was what he wanted, so I hope that I don’t ever hear him pontificating again.

22.. Hail Hail.. Your are a “huge club”(your words not mine) admit it your a very big fish in a tiny tiny pool.

Bradford City (first team I thought of) would be in the champions league if they where in the SPL. All celtic or Rangers have to do is to beat each other 3 or 4 times and they win the league.

I dont knock the man for going but its not exactly a challenge.

why is Celtics first match a qualifer for the champions league I thought with celtic being one of the biggest clubs in the world surley they would not have to go through such a demeaning act as to have to play in qualifers.

Cyril top post again of course he was tapped up weeks and weeks ago I am sure if it where Celtic after Alex Ferguson and they had gone about the same way then some sort of investigation into corruption etc.. would be on the cards. but thats just my opinion.

I will always look back on the Mowbray era with a smile over the style of football we played but with his deceipt and his double standards over this issue I have lost all respect for him as a man

Judas? As tin pot as the SPL is, he has a serious chance of silverware, and Champions League adventures almost guaranteed, something we could never seriously expect. He no longer has to work with JP, tight budgets and low player ages, and he’s probably got a pay increase himself. If anyone seriously thinks he’d stay, especially given his Celtic connections, they are deluded.

I wish him well, and thank him for the hundreds of goals we scored during his tenure, pity we never mastered defending, ironic given where Mowbray played, but you can’t have everything can you!!

Finchy Idiot 26 – thanks for those words of dingle wisdom. Those calling TM a Judas are saying that from their heart. Don’t get me wrong I am deeply disappointed that he has gone & also feel a little betrayed but he has left to go a club that is close to his heart and looked after him well when his wife died. You cannot take those feelings away and I doubt any supporter of any club would turn their back on such an opportunity to manage a club close to your heart. And if we are really honest, yes he got up, yes we played some good football, but ultimately he played a big part in us getting relegated (Carson, Valero, Meite, etc, etc).
We have to forget TM & move on. As I said in yesterday’s post, heart goes for McInnes, head would go for Coppell, Jones, Ferguson or Curbs if he had the desire. TM has gone, but life at our club goes on. The team and management failed to deliver in the Premiership, us the supporters did not fail in the premiership and we must stand by the team during our hopefully temporary stay in the Championship. Premiership awaits!

Hail, hail. Some Wolves on here (excluding the brain donors) and some of our own fans.

You seem to be missing the point. The Judas jibes and other complaints are not about him going to Celtic. I think we all understand his reasons and whether they are a big club or not is beside the point. It was his hypocritical preaching about loyalty, honour and integrity, together with the five year plan that he said he would see through. Read Post 1, it says it all. Right up until a few days ago Tony Mowbray supporters, myself included were berating more cynical fans on here, telling them that we had a man of his word in charge, that wouldn’t do the dirty on us. What fools we were, he hasn’t had the decency to say a word of explanation to our supporters. Yes the ones that have virtually hero worshipped him. The ones that didn’t get on his back after some atrocious performances. The ones that gave him a standing ovation and sang his name after we were the first team to be relegated. Good luck with him and hope that Middlesborough don’t come calling.

I compared it Ossie Ardiles leaving us for Tottingham. Some players ‘belong’ to a club, like Bob Taylor, Tony Brown and those of my day too. Say Steve Bull, think Wulfies. That’s a few, precious heroes we all have and need. Not once have I read one word or heard one word from Tony Mowbray about our fans who brought comments from TV, radio and newspapers about their loyalty. THAT’S what leaves a nasty taste. Hail Hail, such a big club that you couldnt attract a manager outside of the second tier of English football. What a joke you lot are, only big in your own back yard.
Here’s a name to throw into the hat as manager, Paul Tisdale of Exeter City. Back to back promotions and play off final losers the year before that.He also had 3 or 4 promotions with Team Bath, not bad for someone who has only been a manager since 2001. The guy is a winner and his teams play the West Brom way.

Mickey mouse league or not Glasgow Celtic is one of the biggest names in world football and being asked to manage a club like that has got to be one of the biggest honours in British football.I am not a celtic fan but i have been to Celtic park on match days and that support and stadium is like nothing i have ever experienced either in England or indeed Europe. Good luck TM, with your style of football and the far greater players at Celtic park you WILL be a success.

Calm down everyone – Footballs’ a game and sometimes you have to take the rough with the smooth.Life’s all about enjoying it – but lets’ be realistic TM was a failure last season for various reasons – and what ! he’s been given a Plum Job – what does that say about the Club and more importantly the Industry we support. It’s not a Sport now so loyalty/respect goes out the Window. TM has had a pot at Jeremy Pearce – quite within his rights – but who’s to blame is another matter.
WBA does seem to have a dicator at its helm.

Good point. Can’t help agree that it’s very conveniant that suddenly Celtic come along and he doesn’t get on with the Chairman. I know all the anti-Peace conspiracy theorists will jump on this straight away but only a few games from the end of the season I heard an interview where Mowbray was defending Peace, saying that the wage cap was his own idea and stating what a good relationship they enjoyed.
I am another convert to your earlier tapping up theory. At the Liverpool game I just thought TM was being modest and possibly embarrassed at the ovation he received. Could the embarrassment have been due to other reasons?

On another tack. I heard John Kettley, ex-weatherman and Burnley fan on Talksport today. He was confidently predicting that they’d beat Stoke and might nick a 1-0 against Man Ure. Just like many of the Wolves fans looking forward to an easy start to their fixtures on a different thread on here. Can’t wait.

Sad to see him go, but quite a few times last season his team selections and formations were a joke. The writing was on the wall, if we were not top at christmas JP would have given him the bullet and quite rightly so. Hopefully he will come back for Robbo who I thought had a poor season and maybe some of the other dross he brought in. Once again JP has managed to ensure the club has been compensated for the loss and hopefully we can turn a profit on any players we let go, personally I would go for Ferguson, young and ambitious.
    In JP we trust.

ps. I hope Rangers win everything next season and then we will see how much the Celtic fans and club love him, Strachcan won 3 titles in 4 years and the fans hounded him out.

Charlie Mulgrew- released by Wolves, no impact
    Gary McDonald- Oldham
Lee Miller- transfer listed by Bristol City, no impact
Bertrand Bossu- Barnet, Hayes, Gillingham, Torquay, Oldham, Darlington, Accrington Stanley and Walsall, only played more than 10 games at one of those clubs
Sone Aluko- Released by Birmingham without playing

I appreciate that excludes the likes of Mackie, but I’ve gotta be honest mate, that doesn’t sound like a step up from the Championship, especially given the side we face on day one will probably include half a dozen internationals.

I think it’s just a slap in the face that TM cites fans’ loyalty in the past as influencing his decision, yet offers no explanation or acknowledgment of the Albion fans that stood by him and supported him, when even the national media applauded this.

My minds split on this, Celtic are a big big club and must have been a very difficult offer to turn down, especially when your emotionally drawn to it has he is.
Its a job at the end of the day and as a Manager you want to manage as high as you can. He never had loyalty when he left hibs for us and has shown the same loyalty when Celtic came knocking, most managers are the same.
The thing thats offended most people is his silence about the facts above and telling players they owe the club another year when he doesn’t feel he doesn’t. He’s just like everyone else and wants to get to the top and doesn’t care about who he steps on during the trip. The crap about problems with Peace is just a smokescreen, with or without that he’d have gone.
He’s left us now in a fairly tough situation with probably quite a lot of the squad looking to go. We need Peace to drive the tough deals to get good money in for our new manager.
My suggestion would be Curbs, a man who was loyal to Charlton for a long long time and built the club up on less resources that we have.

Well as a Wolves fan I sympathise with you. What a joke. I cannot accept his comments that loyalty is for the fans but not the manager. How can players be loyal to a football club when the manager has a different set of rules. Lets put it this way, if we all had a pretty bad year at work would we be entitled to walk away at the end of the year or would we stick at it and achieve what we set out to. The later I think.

The bottom line is that TM is using excuses to take what he thinks is the bigger better deal.

The fans and the staff stuck with TM after what was a disappointing season. Again, making the analogy with the normal work environment, it would normally be the case after a poor year at work to be sacked or subject to disiplinary action. Albion stuck by him even if there were fractions in the camp but TM has not been loyal.

Much is made of players being disloyal but in this case he has done the same.

Do you guys remember Mark Maghee. He left a number of clubs in search of the better deal and got stung when he simply did not live up to the demands of the job. Where is he now. TM’s career will undoubtedly head south from this point onwards.

As for our beloved Mr Peace, I would be very interested to find out if he took his inflated salary of £604k in a relegation season as he did in our promotion season…..and in a credit crunch ?????????? Incidently he is the only Chairman ever to take a salary from the Albion.

Maybe had JP backed TM in signing Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson for a fraction of what they are worth now we would hve stayed up.

Think theres a few Celtic fans posing as Albion fans on here as well as a certain idiotic dingle. But thats expected.

I was expecting 2 read this with a statement on strained relations, obviously with the chairman. Nothin new there!
But also a mention of the fans for the shire support, admiration & backing we gave him. Even if he had of done so, it would of been too late! But the fact he hasn’t mentioned one thing after all the support we gave him sickens me & makes me fuming! That is just takin the p**s. Our mowbray masks, our last home game ovation was something else that a lot of managers would never experience and not so much as a quick thanks. Is this happening??

Tony Im sorry the way this has all happened is a disgrace & u shall never get any best wishes from me. I feel so strange sayin this as I, like most fans adored u. But now I will never forgive u, WE will never forgive u! And any minority of fan that kids themselves that he has done nothing wrong needs 2 have a think.

The man could have came out with a simple statement when all this speculation was happening, like:

“Im flattered Celtic want me as a manager, but (for now) Im still manager here, we’ll see what happens and maybe at some point I will consider talkin 2 them. But (for now) am concentrating on my job”

The usual things managers say before leaving, remaining silent is one thing and makes u a coward and a skank.

Not to acknowledge our fans with a single word, after all our support is completely another and makes u a disgrace and is just unforgiveable

Personally I would like to see Curbishley in next but he won’t be manipulated by Peace as an inexperienced manager might be. McInnes hasn’t got the track record, much as I admire the guy. 74 generally agree with most of your comments. Baggie fans you are blaming the wrong man!
Just remember 3 managers all who have fallen out with JP probably due to him not supporting them when needed, early last season he stated funds would be made available for the January window – what happened NOTHING, TM had to see what loans he could get, the same happened with Robbo and ultimately led to our relegation.
The common denominator all along has been ‘Scrooge’ Peace.
Where has all the money gone from 4 seasons in the Prem which would be around £120 million plus 3 lots of parachute funds which must add up to another £50 million plus the transfers from players we sold so lets see some accounts or explanations!!!!!!
As long as JP stays in control we will never establish in the Premiership or keep a decent manager, I bet whoever comes in next lasts no more than 3 years, if he’s lucky.
Lets face it Stoke and Hull took some risks in their signings and paid higher wages to get the players in and it paid off, Jeremy will never do that which will always keep us back – ask yourselves again – where’s all the money gone???

OK – comments from a life long fan exiled in Australia (but has managed to get to games in each of our Premiership seasons)…

Lots of us loved TM for bringing some style back to the shrine, but ALL of us were puzzled by his inability to sort out defensive no-brainers & never understood some of his tactical decisions… so personally I am sad to see him go but mostly for fear of the unknown & who will be next – especially after JP’s Robson experiment…

On an ethical level TM dug a hole too deep for himself with his loyalty comments BUT in my heart of hearts I can’t grudge him taking what might be his one & only lifetime oportunity for the job of his dreams…

As to JP – yes he holds the purse strings of the club & clearly he is NOT going to send himself broke pouring his personal wealth into the Baggies – BUT he is going to keep us on a sound financial footing so we will be there or nearly there for years to come – AND he has been honest in acknowledging this & in looking for suitable money-bags to buy the club, if they ever do no doubt he will take his modest profit & we will probably agonise on seeing the soul of our club sold to the highest bidder who as likely as not has no history, understanding or love of the club…

As for the Dingles they will hopefully enjoy their short time in the sun & we will get a few lauhs from some of their scorelines whilst remaining jealous that they are ther & we are not just as fans of both have done when roles are reversed for time immemorial !

It’s a game, it’s a laugh & the tears are only ever short-term – or should be because of this.

AND FINALLY, TM’s first challenge with the ‘oops is in my now home town of Brisbane here in Queensland in a couple of weeks time facing the A League Brisbane Roar – which should just about get him ready for the SPL ifnot the Champions League !

Not having a go. Apart from trying to get out of paying the compo, Celtic have done nothing wrong, as far as we know. However, your bit about ‘defenders marking blades of grass, while 6’6′ centre forwards run past them’ made me laugh. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Get ready for 5’6′ midfield players running past them and scoring. The midfield passing will be beautiful, and you’ll score hatfuls of goals but the defence will be dire and probably why you won’t win the big games. If it’s anything like with us, it will be exciting but eventually frustrating.

Anyone else hear Venus on Talksport this morning? ‘Celtic are probably the only club he would have left West Brom for.’ Just shows that the ‘problems behind the scenes’ hinted at by Mowbray yesterday, are just more bulls**t and give more strength to Cyril’s theory.

The Jeremy Peace out brigade are raising their heads again. It’s easy to hint at ‘where’s the money gone?’ The club’s accounts are audited. This isn’t some backstreet venture where the profits can be hidden and end up in someones back pocket. Unless you have any proof otherwise.
Someone has commented on JP’s salary. I think you will find this is comparable to a CEO in any similar size business.
Surely we can put the ‘get out/sell out’ comments to bed. Jack Haywards and Jack Walkers don’t grow on trees. Billionaires are counting their pennies these days, that’s assuming you want our club in the hands of someone with no feelings for it in the first place. JP is an Albion fan. I bet he’d love to throw in the odd £100mill but he hasn’t got it.
As for falling out with managers. I’m a great Gary Megson fan but JP became Chairman taking over from Paul Thompson who had already fallen out with Gary.
Bryan Robson was sacked because we were going nowhere with him at the helm, blame Peace for appointing him but not for sacking him.
Less than 2 months ago Tony Mowbray was on Tom Ross’ show, saying what a great relationship he had with Jeremy Peace, obviously before Celtic turned his head.
I know I’m banging my head against a brick wall but I wish that I could take the people that don’t like the way the club is being run back 10 to 25 years in a time machine. I can guarantee it would be an eye opener for many.

My last words on the Mowbray saga…. hurt and disappointed that he couldn’t acknowledge the support he was give by the Albion fans – not one word of thanks stinks – and to see him and the Celtic Chairman talking about his principles and the sort of man he is just made me wanna hurl.

Anyway – we are Albion fans not mowbray fans, and I agree with BFR that the next manager needs to make an immediate impact – we are still a great club and well placed for a great season – whoever comes in has got to be able to run with that straight away.

To all the wulfies – laugh away boys, I guess its your turn for once (at last) – but when you get relegated next season which club do you think will pay £2 million for MM ?????

Finally LW – PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get some proper therapy for this inferiority complex – you are quite a worry.

    101. Yes my friend but now it is 4,3,2, PREMIERSHIP! 107. We have signed Serbias captain who Vidic recommeded to Sir Alex, got serbian player of the year and scores alot of goals with a sweet left foot and can certainly mix it unlike Valero who you signed after seeing him play 45 mins in a friedly v the albion! Can you really comment of goalkepers with ‘calamity’ carson in goal? or deano ‘i couldnt be bothered to stay with my national team’ kiely? no.

I’m really disappointed with whats gone on.. where’s the loyalty gone? In comparison to us Celtic are the SMALLER club! (due to the fact there is only 1 other team in there league!) Can’t wait to see there “goals against” total… He’s made a BIG mistake!

109 Why in the world would I have an inferiority complex? Yes happy I am full with envy that we are not like the albion in the championship with a squad of players that do not want to be there, no sponsor, no manager and a trip to Bury to make it all better. Get real. I dont actually believe you think Wolves will get relegated you are saying because of bias towards us. Hull, Stoke, Burnley, Blues, Pompey (massive cut backs), Wigan (alot of players leaving) stoke will all be down there and this time again next year you will look silly.

You need to get a life. Please do not mention the names Celtic & West Brom in the same breath, Celtic a smaller club! you must be on drugs. Apart from Man utd no club in Britain comes anywhere near in size to Celtic. If you want to compare your small club with a team that play in green and white then think Yeovill Town and not the WORLD FAMOUS Glasgow Celtic.

70 & 111 laffinwulf. How many times are you going to bang on about winning the Championship by 7 more points than us. As I have told you before, it was because Albion, Stoke & Hull were not in there giving you a thrashing. Also, what makes you think that you will finish above Hull, Blues & Burnley?. The latter 2 took points off you last season, yes the season when you finished Champions with 7 more points than us with a young team bla bla bla…. You are a joke.

The fall out between manager & chairman was recent & its safe 2 assume the whole 20-man squad episode was the main reason for TM’s departure but there was no need for his behaviour. Disgrace! Heres hoping that finally someone in the SPL breaks into the top 2 and Celtic finish 3rd what a laugh that would be

A message to all you Boggies fans. You are all obviously using the same crystal ball a Gordon Brown. Your predictions about the Wolves are about on a par with his about the economy!

Gordon Brown’s predictions on the economy have proved wildly optimistic. Does that mean Wolves are going to do even worse than we’ve been predicting? Have some faith in your team old bean.

A little less of the arrogance please. Most people would acknowledge that historically and fan wise Celtic are a bigger club than most English teams. however, you’re transfer and wage budgets are likely to be comparable to a large Championship club and you’ve just appointed a manager who’s last act was to get his club relegated.

Doesn’t sound like that big a club to me…

111:- I really think you need to get to know your own players, as Nonads ooops Nenad Milijas is not Serbia’s captain and nor has he ever won Serbia’s player of the year award, he only has 10 caps and won the Serbian leagues most valued player and at a reproted £2.7 mill that can’t say much really.
Now do ya feel silly wolfie.
