WOLVES

La Liga club Racing Santander apparently launched a last-gasp bid for Nenad Milijas before Wolves finally got their man.

ALBION

Bolton are still waiting to see if they are thwarted by Celtic in the race to sign Albion full-back Paul Robinson.

Preston manager Alan Irvine, Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson and Cardiff boss Dave Jones head the list of potential candidates to replace Tony Mowbray.

VILLA

Villa are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old labelled ‘the new Zvonimir Boban’ – NK Rijeka midfield star Anas Sharbini.

Villa are looking to tie up the signing of David Bentley from Tottenham before the month is out.

The Claret and Blue are also keeping tabs on the situation of fellow Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone.

But the ominous spectre of Chelsea looms on the horizon – Carlo Ancelotti is poised to move for Villa winger Ashley Young.

WALSALL

New Burton manager Paul Peschisolido is poised to go to Birmingham to land former Walsall loan midfielder Robin Shroot.

BLUES

Norwich are thought to be ready to ask Birmingham if they can take goalkeeper Colin Doyle on a season-long loan.
