Coseley church in £60,000 bid

Monday 8th June 2009, 11:05AM BST.

A Black Country church is launching a fresh campaign to raise £60,000 to clear a graveyard as the site enters its fifth year under lock and key.

Families are still unable to leave flowers on their loved ones’ graves at the 200-year-old burial ground in Coseley, near Dudley.

Part-time minister the Rev Bryan Willetts reckons it could be some years until the overgrown site, next to Providence Baptist Church in Hospital Lane, is open again unless parishioners act.
