Kevin Foley in warning

Saturday 30th May 2009, 10:30AM BST.

Wolves’ man of the moment Kevin Foley admits staying in the Premier League is going to be harder than reaching the World Cup finals.

Foley finally made his Ireland debut in last night’s 1-1 friendly draw against Nigeria but he knows it will be harder for Wolves to retain top-flight status next season.

“My dream as kid was to play in the Premier League and play in the World Cup for Ireland,” he said. “The way things have gone at Wolves, I’ll be a Premier League player next season.

“It’s going to be tough – most of the lads at Wolves haven’t experienced the Premier League but it’s something we’re all looking forward to.”
