Wet weather on way
Monday 25th May 2009, 9:26AM BST.
Storms were heading to the West Midlands today as the region basked in the warmest temperatures of the year so far.
Unbroken sunshine yesterday saw temperatures reaching 25C (77F), providing perfect conditions for Bank Holiday events and attractions.
Today temperatures were expected to hit 23C (73F) as the warm conditions continue. But tonight heavy rain will sweep across the area, leading to cooler and cloudier weather for tomorrow and Wednesday.
