Albion 0 Blackburn 0 – verdict
Sunday 24th May 2009, 6:00PM BST.
Albion signed off from the Premier League by at least avoiding at Blackburn.
The Baggies probably should have done better against 10 men, after former Albion striker Jason Roberts was sent off for elbowing Jonas Olsson.
Tony Mowbray’s men are relegated as the bottom team, on yet another occasion when it could have been different.

Blackburn looked terrible when Wolves beat them 4 – 1 in pre season. Perhaps they have improved!!

No 1) I love how on West Broms own match verdict pages the very first comment is one regarding the Wolves. At this moment in time I think you should be a bit more concerned about the fact Middlesbrough and Newcastle joining you in relegation, which along with Reading and a few other hungry teams you will be very lucky to at the most make the play offs next season, think about that instead of obsessing over Wolves premiership survival chances.

4 – So u got one more point when u was in premiership, 5 years ago! The premiership gets harder every year and this season was much tougher than the one u played in as u will find out next year when u will struggle 2 reach 30 points possibly even breaking mad Mick’s old record of 15 points :)
Wish we had gone out with a win but wasn’t 2 be.

What’s more interesting is that there are 4 Wulfies on here to 1 Baggie (albeit No 2 an intelligent Wulfie and No 1 a Baggie from the other end of the evolutionary scale.) As you are obviously a regular visitor over here you’ll know that we are usually knee deep in abusive comments and name calling from your lot. Stones and glasshouses old boy.

Is anyone else fuming over Phil Browns antics! I did not want 2 be only promoted side 2 go down but seeing him celebrating like they’d won the cup, singing. Grrrr! They had lost the game for god sake and was lucky that Newcastle were a very poor team against Villa, I thought it was insulting 2 them, celebrating other teams misfortune while u lost urself. I didn’t listen 2 his entire diatribe but thought it was disrespectful, he should have celbrated ye & had a quiet interview and thank his lucky stars. Not run round pitch like a loon the fool! At leat we stopped up by actually winning!
