Albion plot to keep loan duo

Albion hope to kick off their summer business by wrapping up deals for Youssouf Mulumbu and Juan Carlos Meneguez early in the close season.
The Baggies will target just two more players in the transfer market, with former Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson heading their hit-list.
Chairman Jeremy Peace is closing in on deals to make Mulumbu and Menseguez’s loan deals into permanent transfers, and will then turn his attentions to wrapping up two more signings from manager Tony Mowbray’s ‘wanted list.’
Peace said: “We would hope to conclude something with Menseguez and Mulumbu fairly soon.
“If we bring them in, we would probably have two more on our list to bring in and a couple more peripheral players to go. That process has already started.
“We are actually not far away and all we would be into then would be the upgrade of what we’ve got ,to get 20 really strong players in.
“The squad now is very much Tony’s, they are all his signings now, but I do think we have to filter things down a bit now – to concentrate on quality at the expense of quantity.”
Ferguson remains a name high on the Baggies agenda and sources in Scotland suggest he is keen on a move to the Championship.
But Peace said: “We’ve got no agreement with Rangers. He is still their player.
“We will see what happens in the summer and if he is made available for transfer we will see what our position is.”
