Time to map out a plan for Villa's future
- Says blogger Matthew Turvey
Mowbray happy as the underdog

Albion manager Tony Mowbray reckons the ‘underdogs’ tag suit his team as they try to extend their Premier League survival bid by shocking Liverpool.
The Baggies will have to end their dismal record against the Reds to keep alive their slim hopes of avoiding relegation on Sunday.
But Mowbray believes facing one of the top flight’s ‘big four’ could work in Albion’s favour.
He said: “I always feel strange things can happen at the start of seasons and strange things can happen at the end of seasons. There are two good games for us at the end of the season.
“I can only imagine the extra pressure if it had been a team in the bottom half of the table who we were playing at home with the extra expectation that we were going to win, even though no match is easy.
“The expectation and burden is a little less because it’s Liverpool and yet the ambition to win the match is still there.
“I think the supporters will be more supportive, because of the fact it’s Liverpool.”
Albion head into Sunday’s meeting with a woeful previous record against Liverpool in recent years.
In seven meetings since the inception of the Premier League the Baggies have failed to score a goal or collect a point, conceding 22 times in the process.

Law of averages tells us were due a goal at least
If we face a full strength Liverpool we must stop
Gerard and of course Torez and the other eight.
Against the top clubs we have matched them for the
first 30 mins but failure to concentrate for the
whole match has been our undoing. Please TM play
Deano whose the ref ? heres hoping.
