It was more than just a mini adventure as thousands of fans flocked to Himley Park to celebrate 50 years of an iconic British car.
Record numbers of enthusiasts descended the British Mini Club’s annual vehicle show to see more than 500 exhibitors with their pride and joy.
And with this year marking the golden anniversary of pint-sized Mini, the cars glistened with a bit of extra polish.
The club’s founder and event organiser Dave Hollis, aged 45, said the shows and big undertaking but its could not have gone better.
“The cars are my hobby and to be able to share that with thousands of people has just been fantastic,” he said.
“Its been a fantastic turnout and its been nice to position the show near the park’s lake this year to give it that extra ambience.
“We have been taken aback by the support for the show and I’m sure we have seen record numbers at the event.”
Various make and models of the classic Mini were showcased at the event yesterday including many hailing from the Midlands.
