Show provides a great Night Out
Friday 8th May 2009, 3:58PM BST.
A comedy written by Frank Vickery is set to give Staffordshire villagers a great night out next week.
Abbots Bromley Players will perform its latest production A Night Out on Thursday and Friday.
The comedy, set in northern England in the 1970s, centres on a family getting ready for two very different evenings of entertainment and is an hilarious romp through their plans and preparations.
Will Mam and Dad ever get to the Pigeon Fanciers’ Dinner? Will boyfriend Eric ever get to see Doreen’s flowery bedroom wallpaper? Will any of them ever find the elusive tickets?
The cast of four are Becky Kirkland, Ian Ronson, Ron Brown and Angie Haley, and are directed by Mary-Lou Goodbody and produced by Janet Jackson.
The two performances will be at Abbots Bromley Village Hall on May 14 and 15 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £9 and will include a fish and chip supper, entrance to a raffle and a programme. There will also be a licensed bar.
Tickets can be purchased at Abbots Bromley Post Office or by calling 01283 840409.
