Arrests in police blitz

Four people were arrested in Kidderminster and Stafford during raids carried out by West Mercia Police as part of a crackdown on burglaries.

Thirty officers carried out the early morning swoops yesterday on the homes of people suspected of burglaries or handling stolen goods.

Yesterday’s arrests saw officers seize cannabis and growing equipment as well as suspected stolen goods. Two people were arrested in Gould Avenue on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. One of these was released without charge.
