Morrison’s season could be over

westhamalbionAlbion are facing an anxious wait to discover whether midfielder James Morrison will play again this season.

But manager Tony Mowbray is still hoping that the 22-year-old could return from his heel injury as early as this Saturday.

Mowbray admitted the Baggies still do not know whether Morrison will need further treatment for the problem that kept him out of Saturday’s win over Sunderland on Saturday, making an accurate prognosis impossible.

The manager said: “It’s a wait and see situation. The best case scenario is that he feels fine and has a chance for the weekend.

“The worst case scenario he doesn’t and it could be weeks and weeks.”
