Hemmings tipped for the top

Young Wolves striker Ashley Hemmings has been tipped to make it to the top after his debut.
The Academy graduate, who turned 18 last month, came off the bench to make his bow in gold and black in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Barnsley that clinched the Championship title, after one substitute appearance on loan at Cheltenham.
Hemmings replaced Andy Keogh for the last 22 minutes and the 5ft 8ins attacker impressed with his pace and movement, offering glimpses why boss Mick McCarthy gave him a professional contract.
The man Hemmings played up front alongside, Sam Vokes, believes his fellow teenager has a bright future ahead of him.
Vokes said: “He’s a young lad, nippy with good feet and if he can come through and push on when we’re in the Premier League next season, it will be a massive experience for him.
“It’s great for him. I’ve trained with him all season and with him in reserve games and I’m buzzing for him. To come and play your first game amid those scenes was great for him.
“It was a great experience for him. It wasn’t the easiest game to come into and play, especially in his position, but I think it will be one of many for him.
“Hopefully he can push on.”
