Classic car man is killed

A driver aged 77 was killed when his classic sports was involved in a crash with a van in Kinver.
The pensioner was driving the green MG Midget in Dunsley Road when the smash happened and was confirmed dead at the scene.
The 49-year-old driver of the white Citroen panel van was taken to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley, but was treated for only minor injuries.
Both men were from the Kinver area.
Staffordshire police closed the road for three hours to investigate the crash.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Claire Thomas said: “The man driving the car suffered serious injuries, and unfortunately nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 0300 123 4455.
