Lindgren aims to step it up
Friday 24th April 2009, 6:12AM BST.
Inspirational Wolves star Fredrik Lindgren plundered paid 29 points in two matches against Poole but admitted he needs to “step it up” in the Grand Prix series.
The Swede was the undoubted star of Wolves’ home and away victories over the Pirates, dropping just one point from 10 starts.
But he’s keen to make a bigger impact on the world championship, which gets under way in Prague.
He said: “It’s all organised. We tried all the engines abroad and they seem to be working well. I’m looking forward to it.”
Lindgren finished 10th in last year’s title chase, just seven points away from a coveted top eight place which guarantees a rider’s slot in the following season’s campaign.
