Anything done on St George’s day for England is good.
In this case I know there are a lot of people in Dudley who are against the army and the police (same thing over here is France) and it is time to show that if you live in a country you are understood to agree with the opinions that prevail in that country and abide by its institutions.The British army-in this case an English part-is part of English heritage.
If I live in France I am supposed to agree with the big Paris parade on the 14th July and what their armed forces do.That is completely normal when I live in a country.

Apart from that I think everybody should now be campaigning actively for each UK country to have their own Bank holiday on their own saint’s day and then one bank holiday (eg the
Spring one) should be a grand Bank Holiday to remind everyone that the UK is (still) a happy united country.Like called United Kingdom Freedom Day.What does everyone think?

All this is important for national cohesion,because I hear far too much criticism eg on public transport about the army and the police.If they weren’t there who would do the job? Like hospitals,doctors,the fire brigade….
