Work is in full flow to replace the windows at three high rise blocks in Heath Town.
Special access equipment has been installed on the blocks for the work – meaning workers have reached new heights to complete the £3.5million project which are part of the Government Decent Homes scheme.
Bosses at Wolverhampton Homes, which is behind the project, say work to install the new windows and carry out concrete repairs has nearly finished at Longfield House which has 100 flats.
Concrete repairs are also nearly complete at Campion House and the installation of new windows has began and should take another two months to complete.
Work will start at Brockfield House once Longfield House is finalised.
Sue Roberts, chair of Wolverhampton Homes board, said: “It is great to see the work in progress and what a difference the improvement scheme has made. I’m sure tenants have welcomed the work and the improvements to their homes.
“We have also just finished replacing the windows at Whitmore Reans House in Lowe Street, Whitmore Reans and St Andrews House in Evans Street, Whitmore Reans which is great news.
“Tenants at both Whitmore Reans and Heath Town have been campaigning for new windows for some time.”
As well as new windows at Whitmore Reans House and St Andrews House tenants have also seen concrete repairs and new roofs.
Improvement works has also started inside where tenants could have new kitchens and bathrooms as well as other improvements.
