Wolves fans can’t get enough of their triumph – and their enthusiasm has helped the Express & Star’s website to hit record levels.

Tens of thousands have logged on to www.expressandstar.com to revel in the Promotion party at Molineux on Saturday.

Thousands of fans invaded the pitch on the final whistle and the celebrations went on long into the night in the city centre.

And it wasn’t just in the Black Country that fans enjoyed their success.

Across the world, supporters listened to their radios and logged on to the internet to follow the big game against QPR.

The Express & Star has placed more than 250 pictures on the website – covering the game, the celebrations at Molineux, in the city centre and from ex-pats across the world.

Tens of thousands of people looked at the photographs yesterday, which are set up on 11 special galleries.

There were around 330,000 page views on the Wolves galleries.

And in total the website www.expressandstar.com received more than 600,000 page views – a record since the website was relaunched almost three years ago.

Internet editor Tim Walters said: “The website chronicles a great day for Wolves fans and we are amazed by the huge interest in it.

“The traffic on the website was enormous yesterday and today the levels of interest are being maintained.

“The mood of Wolverhampton is dictated by the success or failure of Wolves.

“There is a real feel-good feeling in the city at the moment and people really can’t get enough.

“They want to read every word and look at every picture to do with the events of Saturday.”
