Jez: We are on track in our mission

Chief executive Jez Moxey believes promotion will complete a successful three-year plan for Wolves.
Mick McCarthy’s Championship leaders need just a win against QPR on Saturday to clinch a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
It will be a journey that started with the introduction of Moxey’s “young and hungry” policy three years ago just prior to McCarthy’s appointment following the ill-fated Glenn Hoddle regime.
“We set out this young and hungry policy three years ago to try to build a team to get us promoted based on hard graft which is what Mick, the players and the fans are all about,” said Moxey.
“I thought the Derby game illustrated everything that was good about Wolverhampton Wanderers right now.
“If we do make it, it would give us great satisfaction in terms of this three-year plan coming together in exactly the way we hoped it would.
“We brought in a manager who had done it before, starting at a very low ebb, with young players and doing it cost-effectively, keeping wage bills under control and getting our fans back on side.
“We’ve just got better and better and with (owner-chairman) Steve Morgan coming in halfway through.
“That’s allowed us to invest in players at the right time and we have built a team which are the highest scorers in the division.
“It’s been wonderful stuff and the fans have enjoyed some fabulous football this year – if we could just finish it off with a win and get promotion that would be great.”
