Kerr back for Wolves at Monmore
Tuesday 14th April 2009, 5:13AM BST.
Battered Chris Kerr climbs back into the saddle for Wolves at Monmore Green as they attempt to gain revenge for their Good Friday defeat at Belle Vue.
Nicolai Klindt, who dislocated a shoulder last week, has also been passed fit to ride as has Ty Proctor following a weekend of physiotherapy after a heavy fall in the match at Manchester.
But injured Czech rider Hynek Stichauer, who is still receiving treatment in his homeland for a neck injury, is thought to be about a week away from racing fitness.
American rider Kerr was sidelined by a heavy crash in the March 26 knockout cup match at Swindon, but returned to the fray for his Premier League side Newport on Sunday.
Parrys International Wolves fans have seen little yet of surprise signing Stichauer, but club bosses hope that will change soon.
Team manager Peter Adams said: “There’s no ulterior motive. We’re trying to build the asset base and we want to have a good look at him.
“Results from the Czech Republic suggest he is better than (fellow Czech) Filip Sitera at Coventry.”
Klindt has already successfully eased his way back into action in Poland for Ostrow and takes his place against Belle Vue in a meeting which will see accompanied children admitted free.
