pitmen.jpgHednesford won an amazing game to keep their play-off bid on track.

After dominating the first 26 minutes, the Pitmen went behind when a cross from the right was not cleared which allowed Hanson to score.

But they drew level in the 40th minute, when Ross Dyer hit a first time volley inside the left hand post after Danny Harvey had headed down a Tom Marshall ball into the box.

The Pitmen were awarded a penalty in 69th minute, when Dyer was brought down by keeper Skiba.

Substitute goalkeeper Aaron Ratchford came on and was booked for not standing on his line. Despite the delay, Dyer placed the ball into the net to give the Pitmen the lead. The  home side were given a chance to equalise in the 79th minute

They were awarded a penalty after Ross Draper fouled Adam Muller but Stuart Brock saved Anthony Lloyd’s penalty.

In added on time, Ratchford brought down Elliiott Durrell and as a result received a second caution and was sent off.

But there was to be no hat-trick as Dyer’s penalty hit the bar.
