Thursday 26th March 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
A drug dealer who built a £1 million empire in the Black Country by selling cocaine and heroin has launched a bid to clear his name, it was revealed today.
Christopher Reid, who went by the name Yardie, and two other men, were convicted of drugs supply charges last year.
Reid was jailed for 13 years. Police believe Reid, of Julian Road, Eastfield, was selling to other dealers and made £1 million.
Today the Court of Appeal in London confirmed Reid was appealing against his conviction and sentence.
