Woffinden lands major sponsor
Thursday 26th March 2009, 6:55AM GMT.
Wolves’ bright young speedway hope Tai Woffinden has landed a major sponsorship deal – with a firm just round the corner from his Monmore track.
SB Waste Management and Recycling Ltd are backing the 18-year-old.
Their boss Steve Broadley said: “We’re putting a substantial amount behind Tai straight away. We’ll be talking to him about how we can further our commitment as the season progresses. We want to be a big part of his support team.
“He’s an excellent young British talent with the ability and the attitude to go all the way, and a good ambassador for the sport to boot.”
Broadley adds: “Where we’re based in Purbrook Road is just an overcooked first bend from Monmore Green!
“We’re looking forward to keeping an eye on his development.”
Woffinden, who will be in action for Wolves at Swindon tonight, is delighted with the deal.
He said: “I’m just looking forward to getting out there and giving something back for the faith they’ve shown in me.”
