Friedel red card overturned
Tuesday 24th March 2009, 11:53AM GMT.
Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel has had his red card against Liverpool on Sunday rescinded by the Football Association.
The 37-year-old is now free to play against Manchester United on Sunday week, the next time Martin O’Neill’s side return to Premier League action.
He saw red at Anfield after Fernando Torres tumbled over him in the box, with Steven Gerrard dispatching the penalty in a 5-0 defeat.
Understudy Brad Guzan had been expected to take Friedel’s place at Old Trafford.

definitely not a penalty nor a sending off. It would be nice to see Guzan geta game at some point though
