Bright ideas at Ideal Home Show
Wednesday 18th March 2009, 9:00AM GMT.
This year’s EDF Energy Ideal Home Show, which takes place at Earls Court in London between March 20 and April 13, is set to be the best yet.
Innovative ideas reflecting the issues affecting the current generation of home owners will be on show, as well as effective solutions to inspire visitors to make the most of the homes they’re in, reduce their cost of living and cut their carbon footprints.
There will also be talks and seminars on how you can fall in love with your home again instead of having to make an expensive move, from a structural make-over to simply clearing out the clutter and discovering spaces you never knew were there.
Money saving experts will also be on hand to show you how to adapt to the economic downturn without compromising on the quality of your life, and there will be free advice on everything from mortgages to broadband.
As well as offering practical solutions, the show will bring together top names from across Britain’s culinary scene to pass on their know-how to visitors.
Raymond Blanc, Aldo Zilli, Rustie Lee, Sophie Grigson and Cyrus Todiwala are just some of the creative masterminds who will be appearing at the Chef Kitchen Theatre.
The theatre will provide guests with a fully interactive experience, with cooking demonstrations, questions from the audience and book signings from your favourite chefs.
Keeping in line with the themes of this year’s show, recipes using seasonal and local produce will inspire visitors to make easy to recreate meals for entertaining at home as well as quick family meals that won’t break the purse strings.
The show will be open from 11am to 9pm on weekdays and from 10am to 6pm at the weekend.
To keep in line with the money saving objectives of the show, ticket prices will stay the same for the third year running, priced at £14 on weekdays and £16 on weekends.
