Aussie trip on summer agenda
Wednesday 18th March 2009, 2:06PM GMT.
Wolves are considering a pre-season trip to Australia as one of several options for the summer.
The club has received tentative interest from Down Under and the management are exploring the viability of the trip.
Chief executive Jez Moxey said: “We’re beginning to look at the options available and this might be one of them.
“We are looking at European options as well and we’re only just beginning to talk to people now. As we did last year, we put a lot of stock into pre-season as preparations for the competitive games is of paramount importance.”
Wolves have stayed within the British Isles for both of boss Mick McCarthy’s pre-seasons so far, travelling to the Republic of Ireland in 2007 and Scotland last July.
Previous managers Dave Jones and Glenn Hoddle took Wolves to Spain.
