Walsall 0 Bristol Rovers 5
Saturday 14th March 2009, 3:00PM GMT.
Two goals from Darryl Duffy are added to by Craig Disley and a brace from Aaron Lescott to rout the sorry Saddlers.
16:52: Full-time whistle blows.
16:36: Lescott gets his second for Rovers to inflict more misery on the Saddlers.
16:15: David Pipe and Lines combine to play in Duffy for his second goal of the game.
16:13: Chris Lines scuffs his shot for Rovers with the goal gaping.
16:03: Second-half begins.
15:58: Half-time whistle blows.
15.35: No way back for Saddlers at the moment – it’s been Rovers all the way in the first half. Chris Hutchings will be reading the riot act at half-time.
15.20: It just gets worse for Walsall as Aaron Lescott puts Rovers 3-0 up – the faithful at the Banks’s are not happy.
15.11: Manny Smith’s header goes wide of the post – first real chance for the home side.
15.09: It goes from bad to worse for Walsall as Craig Disley converts a simple tap-in to make it 2-0. It’s an awfully long way back for Chris Hutchings’ side from here.
Duffy could be the thorn in the Saddlers side today – he’s credited with the assist after knocking in the first.
15.07: Bad start for Saddlers as Darryl Duffy puts the visitors 1-0 up.
15.00: We’re under way at the Banks’s Stadium.
14:30: Teams in at the Banks’s Stadium: -

Subs: Gilmartin, Palmer, Bradley, Taundry, Shroot.
Bristol Rovers: Phillips, Ryan Green, Anthony, Elliott, Lescott, Pipe, Lines, Disley, Hughes, Lambert, Duffy.

i’ve heard today mr bonser is muuling over a ten million bid for the club , i do hope he sells and we have someone who will part with some cash to actually BUY some players , some good players ! maybe if bonser would of halved the price for next season’s tickets we could have a full house occasionally , instead of playing at the banks’s mortuary !!
