The Baggies lost Zuiverloon’s first match 2-1 to David Moyes’ side at the Hawthorns despite turning in one of their better performances of the season.

Now the young Dutchman is looking to get some payback for the ‘one that got away’.

He said: “My debut was against Everton at home and I hope I can have a good performance against them this time.

“If we look back at that game we can take a lot of confidence from it because they were not the better team.

“We were the better team and if we think about that it will be good for us.”

Zuiverloon does expect a tough test, against an Everton team whose fortunes have improved since they ground out that victory at the Hawthorns.

He said: “I looked at their game against Newcastle and they played very well. Everton are just a good team.

“Losing at Fulham last week was really disappointing for us because we really wanted and needed to win it. Everybody was disappointed but we now have to look forward and prepare ourselves for Everton.

“An away win would be very good for our confidence and if we could win it would be a big boost for us.

“We’re going to have to win one or two away games to stay in this league, because we’re not going to win all of our home games.”

Zuiverloon is back in action after being troubled since Christmas with a series of injuries. Despite still suffering from some aches and pains, the Holland under-21 international says he is delighted to have reclaimed his place in the team.

He said: “I was injured for almost a month so it’s good to be on the field again. I still have some pain in my body but it’s just good to play games again.

“I hope I will get better and better.”
