Police seize cannabis haul
Friday 27th February 2009, 11:30AM GMT.
Up to 400 cannabis plants have been seized by police in a raid at two adjoining houses in the Black Country.
Officers executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the two three-storey homes in Claremont Street, Old Hill. Between 300 and 400 plants are believed to have been recovered from the houses, which had been knocked through to form one large property.

The search was carried out after concerns were raised about what was going on at the houses.
Sergeant Colin Gallier, of Old Hill police station, said: “Neighbourhood officers had concerns for suspicious activity at the houses and a warrant was obtained after sufficient information was received.
“Once inside we discovered hundreds of plants, and associated equipment. We thank the community for their assistance, and urge anyone with concerns regarding suspicious behaviour to contact their local neighbourhood policing team.”
Officers say they are continuing to make inquiries and forensic teams have also been at the scene. No arrests have been made at this stage following the raid at around 7.45am yesterday.
