No home fear from Saddler Rhys

Defender Rhys Weston reckons Walsall have lost their fear of playing at the Banks’s Stadium.
The Saddlers centre-half has watched the side record back-to-back wins over Northampton and Colchester, after he was stretchered off in the 2-0 victory over the Us 10 days ago.
He is a major doubt for Saturday’s visit of Yeovil Town with a calf injury but insists, under manager Chris Hutchings, the team are fearless.
Weston said: “We’re not as wary at home as we were earlier in the season and there are good signs. It was only natural we were because we had been inconsistent at home but the management have been a calming influence.
“With the exception of the Leicester game, we’ve played some good football and sustained our level of tempo for 90 minutes.”
The 28-year-old, whose place is likely to again be taken by Manny Smith, now expects Walsall to hold a lead after scoring first in their last two games.
He said: “We look capable of defending a lead now, the signs are good and we’re slowly turning things around. We seem to be more confident at scoring first.
“A lot of the time, when you’re on a dodgy run, you wait for the inevitable but we are more confident in ourselves and deserve to be. We’re looking more likely at holding the lead.”
Weston felt for Walsall’s fans, who he believes have suffered as much as the players at home but praised them for their support.
He added: “They pay their money and on many occasions have been disappointed. But they have stuck with us and are seeing the fruits of our labours.”
